Solution for Windows Live Messenger Error Code 81000395

Today since late afternoon I could not connect to Windows Live Messenger.
Always getting an error code 81000395 while trying to login.

Solution was found almost in seconds:

  • On the logon screen select your account
  • Click on the option “Forget Me” (this will “delete” your username and password from WLM)
  • Now, input your username and password again

For me this worked like a charm!

  1. Solution for the Problem Error code 81000395 or 800488eb:

I have been using the MSN messenger for a long time, but suddenly i face the these error, i did the following things
    1. On msn window, click at "forget me" and your login information will get disappeared. And Remove the cookies and tem internet files from internet explorer (because Msn messenger uses ie setting and files to connect to server).
    2. Check the Date of the system must be the current date.
Restart the system (also check the system date), and now try to connect the msn messenger. My messenger is working fine now.

  2. System date is key! If the clock has been changed due to some manner of hardware intervention (grounded case switch replacement for me after checking everything else for grounding errors) the system clock must e corrected or MSN will return this error.

    Great job guys!
