Project Spartan - Cortana Integration

Following the hype around the future Microsoft's web browser, it seems everyday we get news about it, making it somewhat difficult to get all the info together.

WinBeta it's one excellent source to get news about the upcoming Microsoft features like Spartan web browser and obviously about Windows 10.

They've recently launched a video (in fact a series of videos) about Spartan features.
This video it's about Spartan and Cortana integration. It seems that Cortana will really be everywhere and  everything!

Windows Phone - Getting a little taste of Cortana

Well...if you're like me and live outside U.S. and don't want to mess with your region or locale on your Windows Phone, well...I think we have a lot of time to wait for...

But...If you want to have a taste of Cortana's feature and like Cortana's voice, redditor clang-ley have created and made available on it's OneDrive a bunch of MP3 files with Cortana's voice that you can use to customize your ringtone and notifications.

It's not Cortana but you'll have a little taste of it:

Windows 9 Preview in September?

Microsoft as invited the press for an event in the next 30th September.
There's a lot of speculation about it, and a lot of people says this could be the first official presentation of Microsoft Windows 9.

Windows 9 should be launched in the next year but the event should show the press a preview of what's coming.
Codenamed "Threshold", the future Microsoft OS can bring back a mini-start menu, allow the installation of Cortana and a lot more new and redesigned features.

Windows Phone 8.1 - Available for Nokia Lumia

 

The new and hyped Windows Phone 8.1 it's now available for all Nokia Lumia, that where previously shipped with Windows Phone 8.

 

With a lot of new functionalities, the Nokia version of this new phone OS, called Lumia Cyan hads some new cool features like:

• Nokia Creative Studio - Brings 5 new image filters
• Nokia SensorCore - Allows the usage of sensors on Nokia Lumia devices for fitness apps without making the battery drain out rapidly
• New Camera Roll - Gives access to images gallery, editing tools and share options

In all other smartphones (including Lumia) there are also a lot of new features like:

• Redesigned Calendar

VoiceWake - Wake-on-Lan with...Cortana

 

Well, while WoL it's not a new thing, using it with the new Windows Phone 8.1 personal assistant it's a different story.
