Well…an ingenuous leak or just launching the hype?
In the last few year, Microsoft slowly changed it’s secrecy policy about new products.
Learning with it’s rivals, Microsoft understood that was really better to share information with it’s customers to create a certain hype about the future products.
With this new policy, Microsoft shares what it wants, avoiding the compromising leaks of information and makes it’s customers to get more excited to try the products.
The latest news about Windows 8 were “delivered” by Microsoft Corporate Vice President Dan’l Lewin.
On an interview to TechRadar, Dan’l gave some good clues about Windows 8 launching date.
After declaring that “we will be in market - if you look at the crystal ball and just say what happened in the past is a reasonable indicator of what our forward looking timelines will be", Dan’l, a few minutes later said that the beta version of Windows 8 should be available after the BUILD event, that should occurs on September or October 2011.
Following the previous operating system version (Windows 7), Microsoft users the next 12 months, after launching the beta version, to correct bugs and issues found during this period using also the feedback from all users expected to install the beta version.
So, Fall 2012 should be the date to look for the next Microsoft operating system.
